Urchfont Manor lies in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, near the historic
market town of Devizes. Originally an Elizabethan house, the Manor was extensively rebuilt between 1678 and 1700 by Sir William Pynsent in Restoration style. Since 1947, the Manor has been a residential college for Adult Education and conference centre, owned by Wiltshire County Council. |
| Set in 10 acres of beautiful parkland, the Manor provides a haven for peace and
tranquillity making it ideal for painting courses. The walled gardens provide excellent wind breaks for the artist and the adjacent village, with its thatched cottages and village pond, provide a wealth of subjects to paint. |

| There is an adjacent bluebell wood and village cricket ground and croquet can be
played outside the house. The painting studio is first class and ideal for painting in wet weather. A variety of courses are held there and often there is one available for non-painting partners. |
